The newly discovered documentary of the incredible story of Tom and Delores' struggles against three major studios to get Billy Jack and their other films to the screen.

...Richard Zanuck, then head of Twentieth Century-Fox, had no right under the terms of our contract to edit the film until after I had delivered it to him en toto. During the editing he had two meetings with me. At this time he wanted to cut out all the scenes essential to the development of the ambience that we felt was necessary for the picture. He wanted to cut out the "God is Black" improvisational scene, the marijuana improvisational scene, the city council ses¬sion, and the robbery in the park, among others. I was ap¬palled, so he agreed to let me finish it exactly my way, after which we would test the picture with three previews and be guided by the response of the audience. His staff insisted we preview it in Orange County, which is notorious as an ultraconservative element of Los Angeles, to see how offensive these scenes would be. I agreed...
