Ghostly Lover or Guardian Angel... |
|

|
This is a story of love, life, transformation and playing the hand that God has dealt. It's learning that God writes straight with crooked lines, and just when you think you understand your Fate, think again. Your real Destiny is waiting for you right around the bend ... and what you make of it depends upon whether or not you have the eyes to see, and the heart to feel.
Abegail: Ghostly Lover or Guardian Angel is a remarkable love story of a beautiful woman, Abegail Parker, killed before her time during the Civil War, yet her body was never recovered and properly laid to rest. 138 years later, in 1999, she is no closer to finding her remains than she was on that fateful July day in 1861 ... until Joshua Carlisle and his sixteen-year-old daughter, Samantha, move back to Brookberry Farm, Joshua's childhood home.
Fate had brought Joshua and Abegail together once before in 1961, on the 100-year anniversary of Abegail's death, when a youthful boy made a promise to his "Guardian Ghost" that he would be back one day to free her from her earthly chains. Thirty-five years later, when all seemed lost, Joshua returns ... only to have forgotten that Abegail even existed.
What happens after that, how Abegail falls in love with two separate men 138 years apart, and sacrifices herself to save them both before her spirit is freed from her ghostly prison is a powerful and transforming love experience any one could possibly imagine.

| What Readers Are Saying about Abegail: |
|
"Abegail: Ghostly Lover or Guardian Angel" is a rare find. An amazingly sensitive experience of the passion of what real love is and the sacrifices one is willing to make for that kind of love. Graham Greene would be proud. A remarkable personal and Transpersonal love story of a beautiful woman who is accidentally killed in the Civil War, but her human love story crosses over to the Transcendental as she's condemned to remain on earth until she finds the real purpose of her life -- the true meaning of both personal and Transpersonal love, how to love as both a human being, and then half ghost/half angel.
As one intensely interested in how each of us can find the real meaning to our lives, our true purpose here on earth, and equally interested in what is the Nature of God and the life hereafter, and especially what happens to us after we die, I found this story riveting from beginning to end. I don't mind admitting that I not only laughed continuously at the magnificent sense of humor Ms. Hutton breathed into Abegail, but I also cried -- repeatedly -- throughout this wonderful love story, a love story unlike any I have ever read.
To anyone interested in what real love really is, or what happens after we die, to anyone who enjoys movies like Ghost or The Sixth Sense, Itís a Wonderful Life and Clarence earning his wings, or TV shows like Touched by an Angel, this story of how this magnificent woman/ghost/angel loves two separate men 135 years apart, and the sacrifice she makes that both of them might live, is also unlike anything I have read before.
Women of every age from 9 to 90 will thrill to this book, but to my surprise, it's also a man's man story as well. If you loved the spirit of Billy Jack, youíll love the spirit of Abegail. I certainly did." Tom Laughlin
"When I first started reading "Abegail" I wasn't sure exactly what the story was about, or if it would appeal to someone my age (after all, my mom loved it!). But I found that as I read, I couldn't put the book down. There was just enough intrigue in this story to keep me hooked. Reading "Abegail" made me want to trade places with anyone that was around her. You just want to be able to jump right through these pages to feel and see what she is seeing.
This book is definitely a book that people of all ages would enjoy. I certainly did!" Kirsten Storms, 16, Actress, Belle, Days of our Lives
When you read this book you will think, "This relates to me in a very powerful way." You will find it mystically magical because you won't believe, or can't believe, you have walked into a world that you didn't realize others could touch. "Abegail" lets you connect, feel, and make us all realize that we all can be "touched" ... that is ... by an angel. - Amy Hall, Office Manager, Greensboro, NC |

Who among us has not sought these answers:
- "What is the meaning of my life?"
- "What is my purpose here on earth?"
- "What is my destiny?"
What Abegail goes through to find out the true meaning of her life, to find out what goes on on the other side after death, and how Abegail discovers her destiny by miraculously transforming the two men she loves more than her life itself into one man, is both a unique and amazing love story unlike any other you will have ever read. |

"Have you ever been drawn into an antiques store by something you saw in the window ... and it seemed familiar?
Or when you are in a store that has items from days gone by and knew instinctively, they had stories to tell? Your heart starts to race, your pulse quickens, an excitement floods your being ... what to look at first, what to touch, hoping to be still enough so you can hear its story ...
Such is the experience felt when opening "Abegail." As the pages fly by, your pulse begins to quicken, your heart starts to race, you wish you could be inside these wonderful pages and see Abegail for yourself.
For this reader ... it was my best day in an antique's shop times a million!!!" - Karen Storms, Manager, Mother

"I loved this book! This is a woman's story that wraps itself tightly around your heart -- a story for every woman, young and old. I just couldn't put it down until I finished it.
Not only did it grab my heart, but the morality and lessons learned by all of the characters stayed with me for days. There are more twists and turns to this story -- and the ride lasts all the way to the end -- which really takes you by surprise!
Angels come alive in Abegail, and not only does she earn her wings, but I think I did too!
Thank you for such a spiritual and morally uplifting book. It's rare to find a book that I can not only recommend to my own mother, but to my young daughter as well!" - Donna Fleece, Ed.S., NCSP, School Psychologist, St. Petersburg, FL
