… instead they want to do a remake of the Original Billy Jack, forgetting that the right kind of controversy is box office gold, and the wrong kind is box office death – but our new sequel is the best possible kind of box office controversy – pure gold at the box office.  In major polls, including one conducted by the conservative Wall Street Journal, 80-90% of the people in every poll passionately want the major reform that is the nuclear core of our picture.  (One studio wanted a Billy Jack remake so badly they paid a major writer $1.25 million to write a remake, which was not only disgracefully bad, but disgusting, both morally and sexually.)

 

Because America, the world, and so many of our lives are in a painful and dangerous crisis, the sequel we want to make will present social and political reforms that will restore real power to the people, and psychological and spiritual insights that will enrich everyone’s life in ways that are desperately needed today … told in five beautiful love stories that will be as enriching, enlightening and empowering for today as the original Billy Jack was for its time …

 

We’re going to re-release the technologically enhanced Original Billy Jack film in theaters this summer

 

… and still is today – which is why – with your help – we won’t have to sell out with a remake.  Instead, we’re going to begin by re-releasing the technologically magnificently restored Original Billy Jack, and follow it immediately with our extremely powerful new sequel, Billy Jack & Jean, and the Billy Jack TV series.

Just as James Cameron took Avatar to an inconceivable new level of combining a feature film with computer graphics and special effects, Billy Jack & Jean will go to the opposite end of the spectrum and combine feature film with cinema verite/reality film in a way never before seen in any film, let alone a sequel.

Billy Jack & Jean is two films in one, with Billy Jack and Jean being Obewon Kenobis passing down the mantle to a new Billy Jack and Jean. 

Jean’s story begins with her winning the Nobel Prize for Peace for her creation of a worldwide network of humanitarians she calls the Guardian Angels of Healing, a 21^st Century Peace Corps. 

In Jean’s magnificent love story, troubled kids are sent to her school and given the opportunity of doing community service in the US, or anywhere else in the world.  Our fictional film is going to have our actors, fictional actors, go and live in the reality situations that are depicted in the film.  They are actually going to work with the victims in Darfur, Haiti, the children sold for prostitution in Cambodia, and the over 100,000 rape victims in the Congo – as well as people in poverty in the inner cities, reservations, or Appalachia. 

Never before has cinema verite/reality film been so closely intertwined with a feature film and fictional characters in five incredibly powerful, tear-jerking and emotionally inspiring love stories.

Billy’s story is not only equally powerful and inspiring, it will be as explosive and controversial as any film ever made – remembering that the right kind of controversy is pure gold at the box office. 

How Billy Jack comes to run on a third party ticket and become President is an extremely powerful and intriguing part of this film.

With two major polls showing 93% of the American voters being sick and tired of the bi-partisan viciousness in this country, and over 80% would like to see a new mainstream 3^rd party become a reality - major powerbrokers from all walks of American life – sports, politics, culture, entertainment, business people – come to Billy Jack and draft him to run for President on a mainstream 3^rd party - not a fringe party – but a mainstream 3^rd party.
