What is the “Fascist” Mentality, and when is it not over the top but accurate to call one a “Neo-Fascist?”

Because almost no one knows what the word “Fascist” means, what constitutes a Fascist and what does not, and what is true Fascist behavior, let us define Fascist, what constitutes Fascist behavior, and who it is fair and proper to call Fascist or a Neo-Fascist. 

Then we’ll take a look at Impeachment, and when it is rational and realistic to talk about something that’s so extreme as asking for an Impeachment Inquiry – in this case, into the behavior of Bush and Cheney to see if they demand impeachment. 

fascism /  fash’ ism /   1.  a system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership together with belligerent nationalism; 2.  a totalitarian governmental system emphasizing an aggressive nationalism, militarism, and often racism;  3.  extreme totalitarian nationalist movement or philosophy;  4. views held tend to include a belief in the supremacy of one national or ethnic group and a contempt for democracy

Totalitarian governments and dictatorships always begin with an alliance with Right Wing extremists, and the industrialists and bankers

Once the Right Wing extremists have won the elections, they put all of their corporate contributor/partners into all the power centers of government, running the government for their own profit, and pouring money into corporate coffers by awarding lucrative contracts to prosecute wars and build infrastructure – exactly as Bush, Cheney et al have done. 

Mussolini said “Fascism should be more appropriately called ‘corporatism’ because it is the merger of state and corporate power.”

The only way Hitler could rise to power and become Chancellor on his way to becoming absolute dictator was to make an alliance with the bankers and the industrialists who then built the country while he went off on whirlwind propaganda campaigns to increase his popularity with the people against the terrible communists.  Mussolini and Franco in Spain rode the same corporate/banker rail to fascist power.

These elected governments then create a terrifying “evil” out there that will destroy the country if it isn’t aggressively fought immediately by the popular leader.  These can range from an outside country threatening the homeland, terrorist attacks, evoking patriotism and homeland security to keep people in a state of fear, tame the press, muzzle criticism by opponents, and turn government over to corporate control. 

Our greatest Presidents greatly feared that corporate dominance of government would destroy our freedoms

Teddy Roosevelt said America will never be destroyed from a foreign country but would easily be destroyed by “malefactors of great wealth who would subvert our political institutions from within.”

Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, James Madison et al warned Americans from the beginning against allowing banks and corporate power to nominate our political landscape. 

In 1863, at the height of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln lamented, “I have the confederacy before me, and the bankers behind me, and for my country I fear the bankers most.” 

President Eisenhower, in his Farewell Address, said something astonishing and prophetically accurate, “…we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought by the military-industrial  complex.  The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist.  We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.” 

Roosevelt’s surprising definition of Fascism

Franklin Roosevelt warned that “the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself.  That, in its essence, is fascism.”

War is a surefire way for a totalitarian mentality to scare the people into giving them unlimited power and control over the government.  As Earl “Huey” Long said:

“Fascism will come to America wrapped in an American flag.”

How to recognize the unmistakable signs that a Fascist government is taking place between a political Party and the Multi-national corporations

Here are the unmistakable signs of a Fascist mentality and government.  Read them and see whether or not these apply to Bush and his Administration.

Here are the steps that every fascist or totalitarian government has gone through – and must go through -- to gain unilateral power and total control over the government. 

1.  Crush all dissent and criticism

The first step is to crush all criticism and dissent coming from the public, and then crush all dissent coming from within the government, including one’s own Party, and if necessary, resort to character assassination through the use of any distortion or lie, no matter how evil and false they are to destroy not only the dissent, but the dissenter and all future dissenters, either in the public or in the government.

Democracy is more than freedom to dissent, it is defending to the death one’s right to dissent, even if you detest what they are saying

This is the absolute opposite of democracy, and free and open democratic dialogue, and 100% against everything America stands for.  The ultimate test of America and what is an American is found in dissent and not just freedom of speech and freedom of the press, which other nations have, but in the nuclear core principle that makes America what it is, as summed up by Thomas Paine, “I detest what you say, but I defend to my death your right to say it.”

Fascism is punishing anyone who dares to dissent, disagree or criticize

To want to punish those I disagree with, to hurt them or cause them to suffer in some way, financially, by getting them fired, boycotting their product, or in any other way because they do not believe who I believe, or support who I support, is to perform the ultimate anti-American act.  It is a clear sign of the Fascist mentality.

Government coercion against free speech, especially critical free speech, is fascism

The moment coercion of any kind, whether it be government power, economic reprisals that take away one’s right to make a living, by getting one fired or boycotting one’s product, or the fear of public opinion, especially organized public opinion, makes Americans afraid to go against the grain, to have their own mind, to publicly have their own voice, or to say publicly what they think without fear – even to “rebel against the Crown” -- we have turned into a dictatorship of the majority, and we are no longer America. 

The Fascist mentality twists the word “dissent” to mean “disloyal”

The greatest danger facing Americans today is the frightening attempt to suppress Freedom of Speech, and the right to dissent, and the even more frightening attempt to suppress celebrities’ rights to Freedom of Speech and dissent by smear, boycott, and economic intimidation – to twist the word “dissent” to mean “disloyal.”  

The true American feels an enormous responsibility – a sacred obligation – to defend everyone’s right to speak no matter how much he detests it.  If you do not feel the responsibility – the obligation – to defend your neighbor’s right to speak, no matter how much you detest it, you are not an American in any sense of the word.  

The terrifying suppression of critical speech against Bush’s invasion of Iraq

When Bush and Rove were building public support for their preemptive invasion of Iraq, they launched a massive behind the scenes “talking points” to friendly media that resulted in one of the most shameful coercions ever brought against any dissenter, well known or unknown.  Martin Sheen and Danny Glover were fired from their commercials, as was a humble schoolteacher for simply wearing a peace pin.  CBS producer Ed Gernon was fired after ten years of superb service after an innocuous opinion.  Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins’ non-political appearance at the Baseball Hall of Fame induction was cancelled, and radio stations in the south sponsored “Burn the Dixie Chicks Records” bonfires because they dared to oppose Bush on the war. 

Bush and his Administration, under Karl Rove’s guidance, are more guilty of crushing all dissent than anyone in government since Joe McCarthy, as this small sample of their crushing public dissent – and all the others that follow -- clearly proves. 

2.  Concentrate all power at the center of government into the hands of the Leader, the President, El Presidente, the Chancellor, et al

Since his reelection, Bush has moved aggressively to concentrate all power into his hands by appointing his close friends, cronies, and even lackie “yes men” into the most sensitive and important positions protecting America’s safety, rights and well being at home and abroad. 

Unlike John Kennedy who sought out the brightest and the best qualified person for every key position in the Cabinet and Government, many of whom were strong minded dissenters (except for Bobby), Bush’s only criteria for appointment to positions of extreme importance was, except for Rove, their pliability to him and his wishes.

Karl Rove takes complete control of the domestic operation of the White House, and therefore the entire Government

Karl Rove, who is referred to as “Bush’s Brain”, and who many believe is really the acting co-President along with Dick Cheney, has come out of the closet as an “Advisor” and taken complete control of both nerve centers of the domestic operation of the United States government, (Sr. White House Advisor – Office of Political Affairs, Office of Public Liaison, Office of Strategic Initiatives) giving him unprecedented control over every aspect of American life.

Alberto Gonzales, his aide since he was Governor in Texas, has been appointed Attorney General even though he was the author of the internal “torture” memo at a time the entire world is enraged over the Abu Ghraib/Guantanamo torture affairs, giving Bush complete control over the courts and our justice system.

Condileezza Rice, the architect of the “mushroom cloud” scare and the State of the Union lie about “yellowcake” from Niger, as well as Bush’s Number One Yes Woman, is appointed to the monumentally important position of Secretary of State, which is now nothing more than a front for Bush. 

John Bolton, a chief architect of The Bush Doctrine, calling for the destruction of the United Nations, and the most vehemently anti-United Nations member of Bush’s inner clique as Ambassador to the United Nations, though he has nothing to qualify him for that position.  Another Bush Yes Man.

Paul Wolfowitz, along with Cheney, the key architect and author of The Bush Doctrine of World Domination and Control is appointed head of the World Bank, where Bush, through Wolfowitz, now has the power of which country will get financial aid and which will not, depending on their compliance with Bush’s wishes. 

Virtually every new appointee in his Cabinet has been appointed not because of their superior intelligence and years of developing an expertise in the field, but because they are beholden to Bush, and will give Bush direct power over all those departments. 

With these appointments of barely qualified, or non-qualified “Yes Men” – except for Bush and Cheney – Bush now has hands-on control and the ability to dictate directly everything in every area of government without dissent.

This is another clear sign of Fascism.

3.       Eliminate all political opposition, even within one’s own Party 

Once enough power has been accumulated, use the powers of the government abusively to eliminate all political opposition within the government and/or one’s own Party by any means necessary and effective. 

No where is the Fascist tendency of Rove and Bush to destroy all dissent, criticism and independence than to paint as traitors, or fire, anyone who dared to dissent, even on non-life threatening issues, such as the cap on the tax cut relief. 

Look what they did to loyal members of their own Party who dared to deviate -- however constructively – from Bush’s dictated line.

A truly terrifying method of coercion was unleashed against a member of Bush’s own Party, the highly respected Republican Senator George Voinovich, with a long distinguished service to the Republican Party and his country, a man of unquestioned integrity and decency.  What made Voinovich deserve the character assassination below?  Something as totally innocuous as refusing to agree on Bush’s proposed cap on his tax cut of $500 million, which Voinovich insisted should be capped at $300 million.  So what did Rove and Bush do? 

Portraying a distinguished Republican Senator as a “traitor” like Chirac

At the height of the going to war hysteria, they ran a television commercial putting a close up of Voinovich’s right alongside a picture of Chirac, the President of France, whom the Administration had labeled a traitor.  The ad said that President Chirac “stood in the way” of Bush’ s will regarding Iraq, and is therefore a traitor, and now Voinovich is “standing in the way” of Bush’s tax cut and is therefore a traitor.  Heinous is too mild a word for this kind of self-evident fascist attempt to tyrannize any dissent. 

Army Chief of Staff fired for accurately warning Congress about the true cost in manpower of invading Iraq – a prediction that proved absolutely true

At a time when Rumsfeld was adamantly insisting that it would take no more than 110,000-130,000 troops, and no more than a year, to conquer and bring peace and stability to Iraq because we would be greeted with flower petals as heroic liberators, Army Chief of Staff, General Eric K. Shinseki told Congress that the White House’s true estimate was that it will take 200,000 US troops at least two years – and perhaps as many as five or six – to occupy and stabilize Iraq – all of which has been proven to be absolutely true. 

(There are still 50,000 troops in Kosovo, and 50 years later there are still 35,000 troops in South Korea, a highly affluent, well- educated, sophisticated country.)  Once again, the White House knew they were egregiously lying about what their true estimate was in order to get Congress to support the war, and destroyed their own staff who dared to dissent. 

For warning America of the tremendous difficulty we would face if we invaded Iraq, Shinseki was promptly “fired,” silenced, and moved to an innocuous position. 

White House Economic Advisor “fired” after telling the true cost of the war

At a time when Wolfowitz as Rumsfeld’s right hand man in the Pentagon, was insisting to Congress and America that the war would cost US taxpayers virtually nothing because it would, “… pay for itself out of the oil,” the White House’s own Economic Advisor, Lawrence Lindsey, told Congress and the American people that the true cost of the war and the occupation for just one year would be a staggering $200 billion -- a dissent that had to be immediately destroyed, or at least the dissenter destroyed.  So what happened to Lindsey?  Shortly thereafter he was “eased out” of his job and the White House – even though his prediction was absolutely true. 

Only a dictatorial militaristic regime hell bent on going to war would fire two such outstanding public servants, one a distinguished hero for telling the American people the truth about what would happen if we did something as grave and consequential as going to war with another country.  In a democracy, a responsible mature President would want that information be given to the Congress and the public, not suppressed.  A fascist regime would suppress the information and punish the dissenter. 

Again, these are but a tiny sample of Bush/Rove’s crushing of anyone in government, including anyone in their own Party, who dares to disagree, criticize, or dissent.

4.      Destroy anyone whistleblower who dares to expose or oppose the President by getting the truth out to the public

There is nothing the Fascist mentality will not do, no level they won’t stoop to to silence any possible “whistleblower.”  They will go to any length to destroy anyone who dares to speak out and expose a lie or any deceitful or criminal behavior on the part of anyone in the government of the ruling Party. 

If you expose Bush’s lies about Iraq, you will be crushed

To expose the lie of the leader, the President, is to risk not only being crushed but to have your family crushed as well.  Nowhere is this fascist brutality, a brutality without conscience, more clear than what Rove/Bush did to another longtime distinguished public servant who was horrified that Bush lied about uranium in Niger in his State of the Union Address when he (Bush) said that Hussein was trying to buy “yellowcake” uranium from Niger because he had personally gone to Niger at the request of the CIA and discovered – and reported – that it never happened. 

Ambassador Joseph Wilson served with such distinction in the US foreign service under Presidents Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr. and Clinton.  As the acting Ambassador to Iraq before Desert Storm in 1990, Wilson successfully parried the Dictator’s threats to use American hostages as human shields against US bombing, and was given a patriot’s welcome by President George H W Bush on his homecoming. 

A year and a half before Bush’s State of the Union Address, he had absolute proof there was no Hussein/Niger uranium deal

A year and a half before the State of the Union Address, the CIA had asked Wilson to go to Niger to find out whether it was true Hussein was trying to buy “yellowcake” uranium from Niger.  Wilson discovered there was absolutely nothing to it. 

Two other distinguished Americans tell Bush there’s nothing to the Hussein/Niger deal – before his State of the Union Address

In addition, two other distinguished Americans went to Niger and also reported there was no Hussein/uranium/Niger deal of any kind.  One was four star Marine Corps General Carleton Fulford, and the American Ambassador to Niger, Barbro Owens-Kirkpatrick.  These reports by three distinguished and reliable Americans were in Bush’s file when he told that unconscionable lie to scare Americans into supporting his invasion of Iraq for it’s oil.  (Click here for more details on this lie.)  

Karl Rove treasonably leaks that Joseph Wilson’s wife is a covert CIA Agent, to terrify all other Intelligence Agents from daring to speak out

When Wilson heard Bush tell the outrageous lie about Hussein and uranium from Niger, he was horrified – astonished – and enraged that the President of the United States would knowingly lie and deliberately mislead the American people into supporting what was certain to be a bloody war.  Bush, and everyone in the White House, knew it was absolutely not true.   

Unfortunately, Wilson had no real platform, no Hearing, no megaphone to get his message out to the American people.  The only way he could tell the people the President was lying and try to avoid the war was to write an op ed piece which appeared in the NY Times on July 6, 2003. 

Not only will truth-telling whistleblowers be destroyed, their families will be destroyed as well … a signature Fascist technique.

The Bush White House knew Wilson’s whistle-blowing had to be stopped, so no other CIA, FBI, or other Intelligence Agents would dare to come forward and confirm to America that Bush and Cheney were lying about everything they told us about Hussein and Iraq, as we all now know.  So what did the evil Karl Rove do?  He leaked to his friend, Robert Novak, of the Washington Post, that Wilson’s wife was a secret operative in the CIA, thereby endangering her life, the lives of her covert connections all over the world, and destroying her career.  George Bush Sr. previously had described the leaking of a secret covert CIA operative as a criminal act, “one of the most despicable and treasonable a human being could commit.”

“(Destroying) Wilson’s wife is fair game.”- Karl Rove

 “I just got off the phone with Karl Rove. He says, and I quote, ‘Wilson’s wife is fair game,’” said Chris Matthews, “I will confirm that if asked.”  Chris Matthews, the host of Hardball, called Wilson on July 21, 2003 to tell Wilson that the White House had declared open season on his family.

Wilson’s wife, Valerie Plame, had a distinguished career as a CIA operative on weapons of mass destruction with covert contacts all over the world.  By outing a secret CIA operative, endangering her life, her career, as well as the lives of all of her covert contacts around the world, Rove was making absolutely certain no other intelligent agent would dare come forward and tell of the unconscionable lies of Bush & Cheney that we describe on this website under Case I (click here). 

If this isn’t pure fascism, nothing is

Though one may be willing to risk one’s own life and career, no one could dare risk their wife or family.  Two distinguished Americans of unimpeachable integrity with long and distinguished years of service to their country were destroyed for daring to tell the truth that the President was knowingly lying.  If that isn’t pure fascism, nothing is. 

Again, just the tip of the iceberg of those decent caring American citizens who were destroyed for daring to dissent, disagree,  criticize, or even run for office.

(If the People’s Investigative Committee had been in existence and held their open televised Hearing, as we are going to do, the American people would have had a de facto hearing to investigate that nuclear claim of Bush’s and all the other WMD, Al Qaeda lies, and we America would have never supported going to war.  The ratings would have been phenomenal.)

5.      Make it impossible for anyone to run for office by any means necessary, whether they be a threat from within the Party or without

All political campaigns lie, some more than others.  Many descend to dirty politics, and some even to filthy politics, but when does filthy politics become evil?  When it descends to the Joe McCarthy/Neo-Fascist level of pure character assassination, defamation and smear, using any distortion, exaggeration or falsehood necessary to destroy the candidate. 

This Fascist-type of campaign is characterized by its absolute lack of conscience in its cold-blooded determination to destroy one’s opponent, and his family if need be, and do anything necessary to continue holding unlimited power.

The campaign against John McCain – one of the most evil lies in campaign history

In the 2000 primary when John McCain had won three of the first four primaries and was on the verge of upsetting Bush, Bush’s Texas Republican friends (the same friends who put up the money for the Swift Boat commercials against Kerry) spent $3 million on television ads smearing McCain with heinous lies claiming that McCain was the father of one or more illegitimate black children.  When that didn’t work, they claimed that McCain had such a violent temper and was in other ways mentally unfit to be President.  Why?  Because he had been tortured for too long as a POW.

Bush calling McCain a “coward” and a “traitor” is pure evil.

When those charges weren’t working, Bush and Rove went further and, believe it or not, began a campaign claiming that while McCain was a POW -- who the Viet Cong tortured by hanging him from the ceiling by his two broken arms, was a coward.  Astonishing?  It gets worse.  Bush, a draft dodger, had the unmitigated gall to charge -- in front of a VFW group in South Carolina -- that McCain was actually a traitor.   The word “unbelievable” isn’t strong enough.  This was pure, unadulterated evil – pure fascism.

Unfortunately and tragically for America, McCain was too decent to fight back and lost South Carolina.  McCain was too noble to point out that while the Viet Cong were hanging him from the ceiling by two broken arms, Bush, who was afraid to go to Vietnam and had his Daddy get him in the Guard ahead of a thousand people on the waiting list before him, and then was absent from his Guard Unit in Texas partying it up on one of his father’s friends’ campaigns in Alabama while McCain, who was repeatedly tortured as a POW, turned down being released and sent home until all of his men were first released. 

This type of conscienceless campaign is what McCain was referring to when he called Bush’s swift boat smear and character assassination campaign against Kerry “dishonest and dishonorable … it’s the same thing they did against me.”  McCain called upon Bush to denounce the ad and have his friends stop running it.  Of course Bush refused to do so. 

6.      Create a hit list of political enemies and eliminate them until there is no real opposition in the Congress or the government 

An even more evil campaign with lies so despicable they are off the chart – The Fascist campaign against a triple amputee war hero, Senator Max Cleland

Bush/Rove again descended to an even more dishonest campaign of evil during the 2002 Senate race in Georgia, when they launched an equally vicious and equally false series of lies smearing the great Senator and war hero, Max Cleland, whose patriotism and incredible heroism cost him both his legs and one arm in the Vietnam war.  First they unleashed a campaign to disparage Cleland’s war decorations.  Cleland was not once, but twice, decorated, including the act when he saved his men by falling on a grenade.  Rove put out the unpardonable lie that Cleland didn’t lose his legs in the danger of Vietnam, but as a training accident in which he stupidly dropped his own grenade. 

Rove creates a TV commercial putting the “traitor” Cleland alongside Osama bin Laden

When that didn’t work, Rove then created – believe it or not -- a television commercial that put Cleland’s picture alongside Osama bin Laden’s, implying Cleland was a traitor, not a true patriot, but was soft on terror.  The same “traitor claim” they made of George Voinovich, their own Senator.

What makes this truly amazing is Bush and Rove’s pathological mentality allows them to spread this character assassinating lie of what Cleland did for his country at the same time that Bush was grounded in the Air Guard because he refused to take the mandatory annual flight physical for all pilots … for a simple reason – Bush was on drugs and could never have passed the exam. 

Right up until today, this eliminating any political opposition that will not be compliant to the Bush/Cheney/Rove dictatorial edicts is scheduled for character assassination and elimination.

Senate Minority Leader Reed put on Rove’s “hit list”

Senate Minority Leader, Harry Reed, of Nevada has revealed to the public that because of his opposition to certain legislation, leaked memos reveal that Bush and Rove have developed a “hit list” of Congressmen and Senators to be punished and either silenced or eliminated by Bush threatening to campaign in their home districts if they continue their opposition.  (Details on Reed and others on the hit list coming.)

11.  Create a national fear in the country that to criticize the President’s policies or not aggressively support his military actions is to be a traitor to the country.

c.       “You’re either with us or against us.”  Black and white paranoic mentality

d.      How he strong-armed the cowardly Democrats in 2002 to pass his war act

12.  Control the media either through persuasion, seduction, or cleverly presented – though false – patriotic propaganda

13.  Create a Secret Police under the direct and unilateral control of the President, a police that answers to no court, operates in total disregard of all laws of all nations, keeps prisoners incommunicado from everyone, including their families, their lawyers, the courts for as long as the fascist President desires – totally at his whim.  Even worse, at the President’s whim, these prisoners are either tortured or outsourced to other countries, like Egypt and Pakistan to be tortured, even if they are American citizens.

To even talk about Impeachment is to appear to be a member of the “nut squad”

… Primarily because very few people know what and Impeachment Inquiry is, and it sounds like something only Benedict Arnold or Tokyo Rose would do

However, when people learn what an Impeachment Inquiry is, and see the shocking evidence indicting Bush & Cheney, there is a monumental change in attitude.

Surprising poll results regarding impeaching Bush & Cheney

Only 11 out of 247 people were in favor of Impeaching Bush & Cheney, when first approached.  Even strong anti-Bush voters felt, because of the Republican stranglehold over government, Impeachment was utterly impossible.

However, after reviewing the evidence in just Case I (click here) on this website, 221 (53% of which voted for Bush) were strongly for Impeaching them.

They became even more determined when they learned that when the anti-Clinton forces wanted to impeach Clinton, the Congress and Republican Party bosses were vehemently opposed for fear it would boomerang on them in the upcoming election.  Only a massive grassroots movement forced the Congressional leaders to vote for an Impeachment Inquiry, or risk not being reelected. 

Why Impeachment is an extremely serious act that should not be taken casually

Impeachment is a somber, extraordinarily grave act, and should never be called for except in a dire emergency in which America and the American people are in peril and immediate danger because the President has failed his sacred obligation to protect and defend the American people by putting public safety first.

To suggest Impeachment is preposterous – unless the President has brought America to the brink of a disaster so dangerous that only his immediate removal can prevent the disaster & save America.

Which is exactly what Bush and Cheney have done – by not one, but a series of Impeachable acts -- as the irrefutable and overwhelming evidence we will present clearly proves (click here - proofs). 

There are two enormous difficulties in even bringing up the word “Impeachment.”  The first is that almost no one knows what Impeachment is or how it works, and even fewer know what constitutes Treason, Bribery, High Crimes and Misdemeanors, the key impeachable offenses.  Once you learn what they are, you will no longer see Impeachment as absurd, and you will realize it is America’s only hope of stopping Bush and Cheney from escalating the nuclear and increased terrorist crisis they are creating every day.  (As late as February 28, 2005, more people were wounded and killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq since Bush’s invasion.  There are 50-80 insurgent attacks everyday.)

What is Impeachment? 

John Dean, Nixon’s White House Counsel, at the center of the Watergate Impeachment Hearings, said the crimes Nixon was – and should have been – impeached for were child’s play compared to the impeachable offenses of Bush and Cheney.

Impeachment is not a trial.  It is only a preliminary hearing before the House to explore whether any charges being brought against the President and Vice President are true or not – that’s all!  Whether or not the evidence is substantial enough to rise to the level of charging Bush and Cheney, and if it does, the actual trial would then be conducted by the Senate.

(Because Bush so controls the House and Senate, there is no possibility they would hold Impeachment hearings, which is why we will hold our People’s Investigative Committee Impeachment Hearings, as the only way to get these charges known by mainstream America, and once America sees the irrefutable evidence, the House will be forced to call for an Impeachment hearing, or have the refusal to do so be an issue in the 2006 elections.)

The real power of an Impeachment hearing is that it is the only possible way the public can learn of what went on and is still going on behind closed doors to so endanger America and American lives everywhere. 

The next great difficulty is the use of the words “treason,” “bribery,” “high crimes and misdemeanors.”  Few Americans know what constitutes “treason” or “high crimes.”  And these words conjure up images of Benedict Arnold, or Tokyo Rose, and certainly could never apply to good ol’ boy, affable George W, and the soft-spoken Vice Principle Dick Cheney.  However, once you see what constitutes “treason,” “bribery,” “high crimes and misdemeanors,” “dereliction of duty”, and  “giving comfort and aid to the enemy,” you will see Bush and Cheney are guilty beyond guilty.

treason / tree’ zun /  n.  1. a violation of one’s allegiance to one’s sovereign or state; 2.  the betrayal of a trust or confidence; 3. …giving aid and comfort to its enemies any act, writing … calculated to bring the government into contempt or to incite others to hostility of disaffection, a betrayal of one’s nation.

In the most egregious betrayal of the voter’s trust, Bush and Cheney not only knowingly and deliberately lied about everything they told the American people to support their preemptive and illegal invasion of Iraq, they did so to manipulate the American people into supporting the invasion which was really to colonize Iraq, the world’s richest oil nation, as an American Oil Colony, resulting in over 1,500 beautiful American troops being killed and over 15,000 being wounded, not to mention the 200,000-300,000 Iraqis, mostly civilian women and children being wounded or killed. 

Equally treacherous,  Bush and Cheney continue to lie and withhold the truthful information of what’s really happening in Iraq behind the mantra, “a wave of democracy is sweeping the Middle East,” in order to get Americans to continue to support our heroic troops being slaughtered and mutilated every day as a security force for Halliburton and Friends’ oil. 

Even more heinous and criminal, they not only knew they were lying when all the intelligence from all of our agencies showed there was no Hussein involvement in 9/11, no Hussein/Al Qaeda connection, no WMD, no nuclear threat, they did something unconscionable and unspeakable – they actually manufactured false evidence to continue to terrify the American people into supporting the war – not only an impeachable offense, but a criminal act if ever there was one.  Under any state or federal statute, this evil representation constitutes criminal fraud.

The evidence will show Bush and Cheney are twice guilty of the treasonable act of “… calculated to bring the government into contempt, or to incite others to hostility …”.

The first, the illegal invasion of Iraq, even after the world community voted 15 to 3 against the invasion, created a contempt and hostility of America unprecedented in world history, even greater than the hatred most of the world felt towards Nixon and Vietnam.  This hostility, this unprecedented hatred, existed not just with the worldwide Islamic community, not just with the Arabs of the Middle East (there are over 300 million Arabs to only 5 million Jews on that peninsula alone), not just to all the Third World countries, but to every country on earth, including Great Britain.  Nothing gave greater “comfort and aid” to the terrorist enemies than this invasion, which was a recruiting poster for millions of terrorists all over the world who were determined to give their lives to get rid of the infidel, the Satan Americans. 

Far less visible, but equally deadly in “giving aid and comfort to our enemies,” is The Bush Doctrine, Bush’s Doctrine of World Domination and Control through Preemptive Strikes, using our military superpower and preemptive strikes to control the world, especially those regions which have commercial value in the form of minerals, oil, gas, etc.  Every world leader, even students in Third World countries, have gone on the Internet and read for themselves The Bush Doctrine of World Imperialism.  There can be no possible doubt, The Bush Doctrine spells out in unmistakable detail Bush’s determination to control the world and preemptively invade and destroy the sovereignty of any country he chooses, including any country who aspires to “even regional influence.”  Only the naïve Americans do not know of the Bush Doctrine, and almost none have taken the time to go on the Internet and read it.  (click here for Bush Doctrine)

This Doctrine was written in 1992 by Cheney and Wolfowitz, and has been the core of Bush’s foreign policy before he even became President, and remains so today disguised under the lofty sounding words that every American will love – ending world tyranny and bringing freedom and democracy.   The invasion of Iraq was the first overt act of this Doctrine, which is why the world was so totally against the invasion.  Because Treason is “giving aid and comfort to its enemies,” through any act or writing, calculated to bring the government into content or incite others into hostility, The Bush Doctrine is the smoking gun that has clearly given aid and comfort to all our enemies, especially the terrorists, creating an unprecedented contempt and hostility for America from our friends and enemies alike.  (See Bush Doctrine)

To send a nation to war by lying to them is an Impeachable offense.  To send almost 15,000 beautiful, heroic, trusting American troops, mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, sons and daughters to be slaughtered or mutilated, not just by knowingly lying, but by actually manufacturing false evidence to deceive them and the world, is, all by itself, an act of treason, is not just a heinously impeachable offense, it is all by itself, an unconscionably criminal act.  Add to that the over 200,000 Iraqis, almost all innocent women and children, who have been slaughtered or maimed because of this forged evidence, Bush and Cheney are beyond guilty of treason by any standard. 

Are Bush and Cheney are guilty of the most brazen act of “Bribery” in American history?

bribery /       1.  money or other valuable consideration given or promised with a view to corrupting the behavior of a person as a public official; 2.  anything given or serving to persuade or induce; 3. to persuade to act improperly by a gift of money

After Cheney was elected Vice President, Halliburton Oil gave its former CEO an over $30 million bonus and there is no hard working, taxpaying American, not a Bush fanatic, who doesn’t believe that that bonus was by any definition of the term, a “bribe,” a gift to influence, persuade or induce Cheney to favor Halliburton once he took office. 

Is there any evidence Cheney and the White House were influenced to reward Halliburton for this bribe?  Tons of it.  Start with the billions of dollars – BILLIONS, not millions – Halliburton and its subsidiaries received through contracts in Iraq – and not just contracts, believe it or not these people are so brazen they were NO BID CONTRACTS given to Halliburton without anyone else having a chance to compete for the contract.  Among all of the investigations into Halliburton and its subsidiaries, is the investigation into the $9 BILLION “slush fund” – the $9 billion that went into the reconstruction of Iraq that is missing and unaccounted for.  Halliburton’s $30 million investment was peanuts compared to the billions Cheney has funneled to them. 

As expected, Cheney insists he had nothing to do with awarding those contracts.  This is the same Cheney who just before his case regarding a secret White House meeting was to come before the Supreme Court, “bribed” Justice Scalia by taking him on a private corporate jet to a posh corporate hunting resort of one of the corporations involved for a free vacation.  Both Cheney and Scalia insist it was not done to influence Scalia’s decision on Cheney’s case. 

  A little known, almost secret decision, was made last month where in OPEC, who can set the price of oil anywhere they wish, agreed to never let the price of a barrel go below $40, thereby guaranteeing the bankruptcy of most of America’s major airlines, trucking industries, etc.  Having control of Iraq, now the largest oil reserve in the world, even greater than Saudi Arabia, will bring unprecedented profits to the wide array of Bush and Cheney business interests.

These are just a tiny sample of the impeachable acts that Bush and Cheney have committed since taking office.  There are many more that are reasonable and accurate under the definition of “Treason” and “Bribery,” and we haven’t even begun to indicate their guilt under the impeachable definition of “High Crimes and Misdemeanors,” more of which are enclosed in Section III, The Proofs (click here).
